Lutheran East Featured in Magazine
Properties-Magazine
The renovation of Lutheran East was featured in a lengthy article in Northeast Ohio Properties magazine's November 2023 issue, now available in print and online.

Superintendent & CEO of The Cleveland Lutheran High School Association (and former Lutheran East Principal) Chris Steinmann was interviewed for the article.

He said, "The big thing for me is that the school is now very pretty. It's very eye-catching. Taking trees down along Mayfield Road and replanting tree elsewhere really opened the property up. I've had a number of people tell me they didn't realize how far back from the street our school is because they never actually saw the building before. Opening that space up and brightening the building has been pretty transformational. Just having your building look good changes the pride of the school. You can see that in the way our kids talk and the way they act around the building now."

Lutheran East would like to thank Carey Construction Group (general contractor on the project), Meraki Architects, as well as all of the sub-contractors who worked so hard to transform the building.

Financing for the upgrade comes from a combination of government grant money, a construction loan from the Lutheran Church Extension Fund (LCEF), and the Faith & Future capital campaign, which is ongoing even though the renovations are physically complete. Lutheran East is calling up its community of faithful friends, supporters, and alumni to continue to give to support the financial requirements of this important capital campaign and renovation work.

"Our goal was to modernize the exterior of the building so that it would look as good as the education that we are providing inside the building," said Steinmann in the Northeast Ohio Properties article.
